On May 25th, 2009, a craps enthusiasts from the state of New Jersey broke the existing world record for tossing the dice by throwing it one hundred fifty-four times before she "sevened out", according to Borgata Casino officials.

The Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa in Atlantic City stated that Pat DeMauro from Morris County, New Jersey, buy into the craps game for $100 Saturday and possessed the dice for a total of 4 hours and eighteen minutes, eclipsing the previous 3 hours, 6 minutes world craps record of Stanley Fujitake that has stood uncontested since May 28th, 1989. DeMauro said that her record-breaking craps game was only her 2nd time playing craps. She added that she got on a streak and just kept going for about 4 and ½ hours.

DeMauro said that she was studying the game as she went along. She was very happy because most of the male players on her table were really happy because she was bringing them fantastic luck.

DeMauro, who refused to divulged how much she had won from her fantastic game, said that it was a terrific night. She added the officials of the casino approached her after the game and treated her and a companion to Dom Perignon champagne, a free dinner and a complimentary accomodation at the Borgata Casino.
