Gold Strike Casino Resort Craps Championship Doubles Its Top Pot

The Mississippi Craps Championship is slated August 13-15 at Tunica with the first place to take home $50,000 .

The craps Championship, sponsored by Gold Strike Casino Resort (GSCR)has increased the prize money by $25,000 this year. "Our previous buy-in craps tournament were $50,000, with $25,000 first place prize so we are really bumping up the prize money this time," says Nancy Darcy, GS Player Development Director. "With the positive response we received with the previous tournaments, we decided to make the players even happier and increase the prize money," she added. But Darcy cleared that the tournament buy-in remains at $500 although the prize money has doubled.

Included in the buy-in are entry in the tournament, a complimentary room and a welcome reception and banquet. Thus, Gold Strike is encouraging all participants to avail of the "Early Bird Special". This promo will give any player who registers on or before July 30 a $50 discount.

Registration and reception is scheduled on August 13 and from then on it will be tournament play. The semi-finals and finals are scheduled on August 15.

Aside from the first place getting $50,000, the second place will receive $20,000; $5,000 for the third; $2,500 for the fourth and fifth; $1,500 for the sixth to eighth and $1,250 for the ninth and tenth. There will also be $500 consolation prizes for the eleventh to the thirthy-sixth places.
