the Big 6 and Big 8 Bets
The big 6 bet, in online craps, is a bet that the 6 will be rolled before the 7 is. If any other number is rolled it does not effect the result and the dice is rolled again. Consequently, the big 8 bet is a bet that the 8 will be rolled before the 7 is. These two bets could be made at any stage of the game, including on the come-out roll.
Odds and Probabilities
The winning odds for the big 6 as well as for the big 8 are even numbers, meaning a 1-1 betting ratio. For every dollar you wager you get a dollar. The real winning odds in favor of the house are 6 to 5, so the house edge is roughly 9% on both bets. Both bets are not considered the best online craps bets you could make and place bets are more recommended and have a higher chance of winning.
The reason people place big 6 and big 8 bets is that it is a conspicuous spot on the online craps table. It is actually better if you do not learn to much about big 6 and big 8 bets, and just keep careful and refrain from making this online craps bet.
Bad One Roll Bets
These are bets that are smack in the middle of the online craps board and should be avoided by any cost because of the high house advantage over them.
Any Craps Bets - These are online craps bets that the next roll will be craps, meaning the 2/3/12 rolls. This bet pays 7 to 1 and the house edge for the bet is approximately 11 %.
Any Seven Bets - Another one roll bet where the expected roll is 7. The bet pays 4 to 1 with a house advantage of 16.67%.
Eleven or Three Bets - An online craps bet that pays 15 to 1 with an edge for the house of 11%.
Twelve or Two Bets - Pays 30 to 1 with a house edge of almost 14%.
Horn Bets - Here you place 4 individual bets on 2, 3, 11 and 12. The house edge of horn bets is 12.5%.
Horn High Bets - This is the same as the regular horn bet besides the fact that you choose one number and put more online craps chips on that number. If it wins, you get high odds reward for the high number.
Hop Bets - Here the payoff is 15 to 1, with a chance of winning of 11.1%. For this bet you are betting upon a single combination to roll, such as 4-4.
C & E Bets - This bet is the same as playing the craps plus the 11, because the number you wager on are 2, 3, 11 and 12. The house edge for this online craps bet is terribly high.
